Song Pack Volume 2
Master Three More Classic Jazz Tunes
Essential Styles Covered: Bossa, Waltz & Swing. Get Gig-Ready!
About This Course Bundle
Three more standards. Three completely different styles. One bundle that shows you how to play them all.
Song Pack Volume 2 takes you deeper into the jazz repertoire with:
- How Insensitive
- My Favorite Things
- Stompin’ at the Savoy
… giving you the tools to play bossa nova, jazz waltz, and uptempo swing, all with equal confidence and authority.
How Insensitive brings you into the world of bossa nova. You’ll learn the gentle, syncopated comping patterns that define the style, capture the tune’s wistful melody with authentic phrasing, and discover Pat Martino’s melodic approach to soloing over minor harmony, creating lines that sound effortless and emotional.
My Favorite Things opens up the jazz waltz. You’ll comp comfortably in 3/4 time, explore modal soloing using octaves and pentatonic colors, and make this Coltrane classic feel natural on guitar, even if you’ve never played a waltz before.
Stompin’ at the Savoy gets you swinging with vintage vocabulary, Freddie Green’s rhythm guitar approach, and a clear harmonic map that makes this uptempo standard feel manageable instead of overwhelming.
